Yes we all needed these!

Our wonderful leavers joined us

We sang, listened to the Word of the Lord and prayed together, we know our children are ready for new adventures.

Our school community gave the leavers a special blessing and we said goodbye.

Farewell, good luck and God’s blessings

The children and staff all joined together yesterday to give thanks for a collective 53 years of dedicated service from three wonderful teachers who leave us at the end of this week.

The children sang their new school song to Mrs Wood, Mrs Conn and Mrs Woodford and reflected on a ‘proud past and future bright’.

Each adult was presented with a hand made card from each class, a bouquet from the children and a special gift from the staff.

Each class received a lovely gift from the leaving teachers – thank you to each of them for their kindness and generosity.

The children sent our staff members off with a traditional blessing:

May the Lord bless you and keep you
May the Lord make his face shine upon you
and be gracious to you
May the Lord turn his face towards you and give you peace

First Holy Communion Celebration Assembly

Congratulations to all of our First Holy Communion Children. We have joined together from four distinct Parishes, each with their own tradition, but united by the Body of Christ. IMG_0021

Thank you to everyone who has prepared our children: Catechists from all of our parishes, parents and teachers.

Thank you also to the children in these classes who didn’t make their first Holy Communion this year – you have been excellent prayer partners – well done!IMG_0012 IMG_0014

We thought today about why we set up the Altar in a particular way.

We left the hall to ‘We are marching in the light of God’!IMG_0010
