We gathered together for a very special assembly this afternoon. We spent time reflecting on our Lenten journey so far and the events of Holy Week. We used a purple winding road to help us. We spent time thinking about Jesus washing the feet of his disciples. We thought about how we needed to serve one another, like Jesus. Next we remembered how Jesus turned the Passover meal into something very different for Christians when he took bread and wine, blessed it and shared it.
After that, we thought about the next events in the Story.
We all look forward to lighting the Easter Candle and singing our alleluias again.
We had a super time this morning building rafts! We imagined our ship had been struck by lightening and had sunk and now we needed to build a raft to carry us to safety! We tested our designs out in Nursery’s outdoor area.
A fantastic dress rehearsal from Yr 5 this afternoon. A really unusual retelling of the last days of Jesus’ life. Complete with news reports and chat show clips. Year 5 parents will be really proud of their children on Tuesday night!
