Well done Year Four -there’s been lots of lovely learning this week! We continued our rainforest project by looking at the life of children who live in Amazonian tribes, using our inference skills to guess what life may be like for them, before comparing their daily tasks with ours.
We have also looked at the art of Henri Rousseau and the shapes of some of the plants found in the rainforest, using these as a basis for our own beautiful leaf art.
Did you know that there are different parts of the rainforest? Ask Year Four about the emergent layer, the canopy, the understory and the forest floor. They’ve been preparing brilliant presentations to share and researching the animals and plants that can be found in the habitats of the rainforest.
