This week in Year 6

In literacy this week we performed Don Crawford’s ‘Please wear a poppy’ poem. We also wrote our own adverts for the Royal British Legion’s poppy appeal.
In numeracy we looked at fractions this week; simplifying, ordering fractions and converting improper to mixed number fractions. Phew!!
In RE looked at injustice and people who spoke out at about injustice in the world. We started a mini project in history and the children are researching how life in the UK changed during World War 2.
We also managed to squeeze in some song rehearsals for the Junior Christmas Production!
The Christmas Truce project was set today and we spoke about how this can be presented. It is due in on Tuesday 6th December.
Have a lovely weekend! 😀
