This week in Reception…

Well done for everyone in Reception for dealing with the changes today. You were all very sensible and just got on with whatever the teachers asked you!

In RE this week we have continued to think about the Holy family and how they felt that first Christmas. Some children decided to make prayer and birthday cards for Jesus. David Donkey helped us on our Advent journey by leaving us a task everyday to do. (See below for this weekend’s tasks.) We used our developing mark making and phonic skills to record the Nativity story in our diaries.

Earlier in the week, it was still cold enough to explore the ice that had formed in the Tuff spot. We took  it inside and it quickly melted! It melted outside too so we used the water to see how many cups would fill the kettle.

On the  10th, David Donkey wants to know how many people you have said ‘”thank you” to and why. Then how the 11th, find out what colour candle is lit on the Advent wreath.

Have a great weekend!
