Back to work in Year 5

Year 5 have come back to school full of beans and ready to learn! After the excitement of Christmas presents discussions, we have worked really hard this week.
In Maths we have been working on equivalent fractions and ordering and comparing fractions-all of which we have found a bit tricky but we persevered well.
In English we have started a new topic based on the very strange story of ‘Tuesday’. We are pretending we are police detectives and we wrote questions for our witnesses who are going to be interviewed next week.
We enjoyed our dance lesson where we had to make up moves to match words such as zap, twist, fall and uncurl to create a sequence with our partner. It was great to see so much rhythm on the dance floor!
This afternoon we have been practising our noticing skills through still life drawings. After A LOT of moaning and groaning that it was too hard, we produced some fantastic work!!
