Happy New Year everyone! Year Four have had a busy first full week back and it’s been lovely to see so much perseverance and so much learning.
English – We have been learning about how Robert Swindells uses small details to build up a picture of the setting of his novel, The Ice Palace. From this, we have written some of our own fantastic descriptions.
Maths – Year Four have persevered brilliantly while exploring fractions of shapes amounts. Great to see you succeed in the end Year Four!
RE – We have been learning about The Presentation of Jesus, and thinking about the promises which were made about Him by Ana and Simeon.
Geography – We found the seven continents and labelled key mountain ranges.
Art – We examined several mountain pictures, including the view of Mount Fuji by the Japanese artist Hokusai, thinking about content, mood and use of line and colour.
I’m looking forward to more next week!
