It really was a busy week!
Not only did we take part in two Mini Olympic events, we also recapped and practiced some mental subtraction strategies in Maths; as well as writing some really fantastic Haikus in English about tigers. Year 3 showed great perseverance and good noticing skills when we going back and rechecking their Haikus for mistakes too. In Art we looked at some of the work by the Artist David Hockney; focusing on ‘Garrowby Hill’. We looked closely at all the different tones of green and discussed how if would effect the painting if there were only one or two tones of green. In RE we continued our work on ‘making the right choice’ by thinking about the word ‘sin’ and working towards a better understanding of what it means to sin. In History we continued our work on the Stone Age by studying some Stone Age cave paintings. It was lovely to welcome our two new class members this week too.
Enjoy your weekend!
