We have had a very busy and creative week in Year 5!
In reading we were identifying the use of as many types of punctuation as we could and transferring this into our writing. We have also written a newspaper report about the mysterious ‘Tuesday’ events. In maths we looked at and explained our many methods and reasoning strategies to solve different challenges. We also had the chance to use Mathletics to keep our key skills sharp-perhaps you can spare a few minutes at home this week to practise? Our science was very creative this week involving lots of building learning power where we continued to explore forces.
We finished our Ancient Greek topic off by working in groups to create a quiz-we will complete each other’s next week.
We had a great time in our dance lesson creating our partner and group sequences to ‘consider yourself’ from Oliver. Our creative week finished with cutting and rearranging our still life drawings in the style of Picasso.
Come along to our prayer session next Tuesday morning if you can!
