This Week in Year 3

We started this week this week as time travelers… traveling back to neolithic Europe. Our day at Celtic Harmony Camp was brilliant, the sun was out, the air was fresh and there was plenty of mammoths to hunt! Also this week, we have been learning about adding the suffix ‘ing’ in English and carried on working on our persuasive writing topic, by exploring the use of superlatives and alliteration. In maths we have been learning about rounding up and down to the nearest ten and hundred, as well as spending a few days brushing up on our mental maths skills by finding rules that apply when you add ten or a hundred to a number. In RE we have been thinking about celebrations and exploring how the Mass each week is a celebration and a coming together of the whole Catholic community; today we wrote stories about two characters that had had an argument and explained what they had to do to make it right with God, and one an

other.

Thanks Year 3, have a good weekend…
