This week in Year 6

Another busy week in Year 6!
We have spent our Maths and English lessons this week working through old SATs papers – focusing on application of knowledge but also test technique! Remember to look through old papers and share them with an adult at home. We have completed a daily maths challenge to apply our reasoning skills.
In RE we found out about the events on Holy Thursday and completed a character analysis of Peter.
We looked at the drop, cover, hold campaign to keep people safe during an earthquake and created our own promotional posters. We also found out about the preparations before and after an earthquake.
On Thursday, the children sketched their own images of key scenes from War Horse – great work!
Well done to the boys that led the football training session – great leadership and coaching! Well done to the girls netball team – they won ANOTHER match yesterday! Still unbeaten!
Have a wonderful weekend!
