This week in Year 5

Year Five have had an exciting and varied week. In Music, for the next few weeks, we are learning to play the Ukulele. We have made an excellent start by learning 2 chords.
On Monday we walked to the woods to look at the beauty of our local woodland, which was covered in a blanket of bluebells. We reflected on the renewal of our faith, refreshed by the resurrection.
We also looked at how we can keep ourselves safe and happy as we grow up.
Our new English topic involved us looking at short stories and writing what we thought happened next-we had some very scary endings!
In Maths we have become expert Roman Numeral converters and practised ordering and rounding decimals to 2 decimal places.
In our topic work we are looking at why rivers are important and how we use and can save water.
We are nearly finished our abstract Da Vinci still life pictures which have involved a lot of hard work with many stages!
Have a lovely long Bank Holiday weekend!
