This week in Year Four we have continued our unit of explanation writing by planning and beginning to write explanations for the inventions we designed last week – ask Year Four about their new twist on a mousetrap. I think the mice will be pleased! We’ve also begun looking at decimal place value, thinking about ways to represent the digits on the right hand side of the decimal point!
In RE we have learned about the Ascension and how Jesus left us, only to return to join His life to ours in the Sacrament of Baptism.
This afternoon we had a lovely walk to the museum complete with views of bluebells and beautiful butterflies on the way. Once there, we enjoyed looking at Roman artefacts and guessing what they were used for, sketching fragments of Roman pottery, writing our names on a wax tablet with a stylus and finding clues in Roman rubbish tip!
