Our theme this week has been Jack and the Beanstalk. We listened to one version of the story and then retold it to create a story map. We wrote our own sentences to tell our favourite parts.
In Maths, we sorted different objects according to their properties and learned the name of the 3D shape they looked liked. We used these shapes to build some impressive castles for Jack and the giant.
HCL came to visit us during the week and we learned lots more about healthy eating. We made some fruit kebabs and enjoyed eating them after.
On Thursday, we joined the rest of the school at the Lenten Mass. Some of our class were involved in the offertory procession. They walked very carefully carrying the bread and wine and remembered to bow before the priest. We all tried very hard to sing the words of the hymns. Our teachers were very impressed with how many words we could remember.
More beans next week…what do you think they will need to grow?
