Here are some home learning ideas for you to try this week.
Phonics – visit the website http://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/parents/phases/phase2/picniconpluto
Play the game by sounding out and blending the words you’ll see on the screen. Then decide if it a real or fake word and feed Bob only real words for his picnic and Obb only fake words. Why not play the game again on a different day and see if you can achieve a higher score. Let me know how you get on!
Maths – go on a treasure hunt around your home. What shapes can you find? Look for both 2D shapes (circle, triangle, square, oval, rectangle, hexagon) and 3D shapes ( cube, pyramid, cylinder, cuboid, sphere). How many objects of each shape can you find? Can you record your findings?
Literacy – share a book with a family member. Talk with them about the book. Did you enjoy it? Who was your favourite character? Why? Would you recommend it to friend?
Art – I really miss seeing everyone being together in school, particularly your happy, smiling faces. Can you draw a self-portrait? I’m sure you’ve all grown up so much!
